About Talon to Table
Do you have your place at the table?
Talon to Table is a celebration of locally-sourced food, drinks and our community’s growing environmental awareness. This event will connect the community while emphasizing the importance of sustainable actions and local food to support a healthy ecosystem.
This is not your typical gala—the attire is farm chic (picture a nice pair of boots, sun dresses for the ladies and dressy jeans for the gents) in a sophisticated, rustic barn on a cattle farm. Talon to Table encourages intimate conversation over a family-style dinner paired with Carolina beer, wine & spirits.
This year, we’ll have people highlighting important work Carolina Raptor Center does everyday. These “Tales from the Trail” will be lead by Richard “Stick” Williams, former President of Duke Energy Foundation. The evening will also feature live music, a silent auction, live music from The Barred Owls, and an introduction by CRC founder Dr. Richard Brown.
This year’s VIP Reception will feature a signature cocktail, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a flight demonstration with Willow, our resident Barn Owl, and the CRC Flight Team. The reception starts promptly at 6:00pm.
All proceeds will benefit Carolina Raptor Center’s Annual Fund, which helps CRC treat injured and/or orphaned raptors, provide 27,000+ students with affordable formal STEM education programs annually, and engage more than 550,000 through informal education experiences like our 0.75-mile Raptor Trail and EagleCam.
