We’ve received a number of event-related questions and thought this FAQ page would serve all attendees well, since many of you may have the same questions.

1) What do you mean by ‘farm chic’ attire?

Since Talon to Table is not your typical gala and has a rustic farm theme, we wanted to create a more laid back dress code, instead of the traditional black tie gala. Farm chic embodies a simple, but elegant look – like blue jeans, boots, sun dresses, and natural accents. Below are some images to help you envision the look we see, but please feel free to customize your own unique look.

2) Will there be vegetarian options for dinner?

Yes, the Talon to Table menu includes a variety of farm fresh vegetarian options. Visit the Menu page for a detailed list.

3) What types of beverages will be served, and how many drink tickets am I allotted?

Talon to Table will feature signature drinks – crafted with locally-sourced liquor, beer, and wine. We will have an open bar for all guests age 21 and older, so enjoy all the beverages you care to have.
This year’s signature cocktail – The Great Grey – features Cardinal Gin, organic,homemade ginger-lavender syrup, fresh lemonade and a dash of bitters. It’s fresh take on a Tom Collins.
Our bar will be stocked with Cardinal Gin, Doc Porter’s Vodka, Shelton Vineyards Cabernet and Chardonnay, Birdsong Doin’ Thyme Witbier and Wooden Robot What He’s Having IPA.

4) I didn’t receive tickets to the event. How will I get in?

Carolina Raptor Center tries to limit its environmental impact, so we do not print and mail event tickets. If you purchased ticket(s)/table(s), your name badge will be at Guest Registration. If you are someone’s guest, then your name badge will be grouped with their ticket(s)/table(s). Just give our Registration staff your name (our your host’s), and we’ll get you admitted into the event venue.

5) I hear there is a VIP Reception. Am I invited?

If you are an Event Sponsor or purchased a Reserved VIP Table (or are a guest of a sponsor or reserved table buyer), you are definitely invited and should have received information on the VIP Reception. If you do not fall into one of those groups, I’m sorry, but it’s sold out. If you’d like to arrive a little early (by 6:45pm), you can catch the flight demonstration with Willow, one of our resident Barn Owls.

6) I have other questions not listed here, and they are VERY important!
